An Eruption Of Christmas

Tomorrow Carolynn turns in her volcano project. Catherine is in the biggest trouble ever. First, yesterday, she was supposed to unload and reload the dishwasher and when I got home, the dishwasher was running. However, the dishes in it were the clean ones from the day before. She started the dishwasher as I came up the stairs. The dirty ones were still there.

Today, she was again supposed to load and unload the dishwasher. When I got home, she had not done it. Therefore, I sent her to her room. While Carolynn and I were cleaning the kitchen, I noticed a few things….

The snack container was nearly empty.
The two-pound box of See’s candy that I got from the banker at work was gone.
The box of chocolate covered cherries David bought me was empty.
A plate of sugar cookies we baked this weekend were gone.
A box of ginger snaps I put in the freezer was missing most of the cookies.
A bag of popsicles was gone.
Several of David’s ice cream sandwiches were missing.

So where did all this junk food go? Catherine. She sneaks it every chance she can get. All of the junk food I only bought, received, or made last weekend. It’s only Wednesday. I sent her to bed without dinner. I do not think she is hungry.

Here is a Christmas video from The Killers. This is the song from last year. They did a Christmas song this year, but the video is weird.

The 12 Days Of Christmas
On the sixth day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Six Geese A-Laying
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

  1. That is a lot of sugar and See's candy is very filling I love See's candy but that much sugar and I would have barfed.
So what was up with the snack fest? Did she eat all that today?

  2. I don't think she ate it all today. I think she has been eating it over the past few days and I just caught up with it. I am surprised she didn't barf.

  3. Well is she getting up at night to have her own little party?

  4. That could be it too. I found many wrappers in her room. She grabs while I am in the bathroom or in the shower. That is a lot of junk food in just a few short days. She'll have to run a million laps with Elvis to work off those calories.

  5. Whoa!! I feel queasy just thinking about eating that much junk food. Sounds like you need a locked liquor cabinet for your snack food, heheh.

  6. Well Elvis can stand to burn a few Calories himself. He has gotten to be a cubby little beagle, maybe he eats all the snacks when his brothers aren't looking.
