Picky People

David is a very picky person. So is his sister Gena. Next week Gena and Robbie are coming for a visit to do some holiday decorating and to have some dinner. I am planning on making enchiladas, rice and beans. David doesn't eat beans or anything remotely spicy. Gena doesn't either.

We will also make Christmas cookies. David likes peanut butter, Robbie likes white chocolate with macadamia nuts, and Gena likes sugar cookies.

Tonight we had steak with mushroom sauce. David ate his steak plain. We also had roasted asparagus. Carolynn and I could eat that every week. David won't. He tried it once. I think. Catherine tried it once. She doesn't it either. Then we tried an eggplant dish. It was eggplant "pasta". The eggplant was the pasta. It also had tomatoes, basil and cream sauce. I liked it. Carolynn said it was okay. Catherine wouldn't try it. David said it tasted okay, but it felt like squid. I find that silly. It had an unusual texture, but not like squid. David likes calamari anyway.

I am not picky. I will try anything. I don't like lima beans. I don't like super spicy food. I like to be able to taste things. I don't care for coconuts. But that's all I can think of.

  1. I'm not as picky as I was when I was younger. I think my tastes have changed as I've aged. I don't care for pickles and some seafood icks me out. I'm not much of a fruit eater either. We just never had it much in the house when I grew up so I never ate it.
