Disney Graduate

Ever since Carolynn entered high school, all she could talk about was how she couldn’t wait for Grad Night at Disneyland. For those of you unfamiliar with this, Grad Night is an overnight trip to Disneyland complete with rides and food and no tourists.

When I was a kid, Disneyland was the only place you could do Grad Night. Now Six Flags offers a similar thing.

Carolynn’s school opted for Six Flags. It was cheaper.

She was quite disappointed. She had really wanted to go to Disneyland. After all, it is the Happiest Place on Earth. And we really are quite the Disney family. So, for Carolynn’s graduation, we got annual passports and we went to Disneyland.

Carolynn brought her boyfriend Josh. So we didn’t see her much.

She found us so she could eat. We ate at the Rainforest Café. David bought her an official Disneyland graduation hat. She wore it at her real graduation. She and Josh got official Disneyland buttons for graduates. She had a great time.

And since we got annual passes… We are already looking forward to our next Disney adventure.

  1. How fun! I went to high school in Northern California and Disneyland was never an option for grad night. My husband though, who lived in Central California, got to go there for his. Lucky duck! I am glad you were able to go as a family so she didn't miss out (even if you didn't see much of her once at the park). I would love to get annual passes to Disneyland, but my husband is still not in favor of it. Since it's such a huge purchase (even with monthly payments), he wins. For now. I haven't given up talking him into it.

  2. Disneyland passes are the only worth it if you are going to make Disneyland your go to thing. We also got the cheapest ones, which exclude all weekends. Not a big deal for us. I never get weekends off.

  3. And that's what does us in because my husband only has the weekends off and I have Friday/Saturday/Sunday off. :-(
