Well, we are getting started on our super weekend. We got up and did a bit of cleaning up. No sense starting our weekend of fun in a messy house. Then we went over to the Wal-Mart and got what David calls “fat loot”. Carolynn got a color by numbers set. Catherine got a craft kit to make stick puppets. I got a movie (The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh), a new deck of cards, and a word find book. David got a movie (Heat), a new sketchpad and new pencils.
We painted pumpkins after we went to the Wal-Mart. Well, Carolynn, Catherine and I did. David got a pumpkin to carve. He does not want to carve it yet because then it will be all wilted by Halloween. Our painted pumpkins are still drying. I will post some pictures later.
After the pumpkin painting, we baked a nice fall spice cake. We played a game of Disney Scene It. We need to get some new cards or a new DVD for that one. We play that one a lot. Then we made our caramel apples. They were good. Now we are watching our Pooh movie. I like the original Pooh. It is a nice fall movie, with it being Winds Day and all blustery out in the Hundred Acre Wood. Here it is cloudy and a little rainy. That should be helpful to the firefighters.
Later we are going to work on the new craft kits and eat pizza. We are having a debate about which is better pizza, Pizza Hut or Papa John’s. I like Pizza Hut, but David loves Papa John’s.
After pizza, we will play some more games and have a super fun time.
Thought I would write and tell you since were not with you we also went and had pizza. Many people had been telling us about this place over in Apple Valley by the hospital called Di Napoli's Firehouse, my god that was the best pizza we both think we have ever had, in all the years you lived in Apple Valley had you eaten there, my guess is yes. It was so kewl inside there, can't believe in all the years we lived here, no one ever told us about it. Next time we go we want to try some pasta dishes, we both want to try their Linguini with Clam Sauce, and also there Eggplant Parmigiano. We also had as an appetizer their Calamari, man was it ever good. Well we know we have a new favorite Italian restaurant to go to, we know we will be regulars there. Well looking forward to seeing those pumpkin pictures, tell David not to be such a looser and to paint his, then he can carve over where he painted, what can't he paint or what, just kidding David, but get into the spirit!!! Is he going to let you girls show him up or what. Well sounds like it has turned into a good day for you there, we have alot of clouds here and have had a couple sprinkles, would be nice to get some rain, just would only hope it wouldn't be alot for the fires though, then could turn to floods, but a nice slow steady rain could be very helpful. Have fun. Uncle Steve
ReplyDeleteYes, I have been there. I went and had pasta and it was sooooo good. I had forgot about that place. I should go there again.

ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a pretty good Weekend O' fun. My dad was just telling Helen about the girls, and how much Catherine loves pizza. I have never been to Papa Johns so I am unable to settle that debate. And I have never been a real big fan of pizza, however I do like spagettii and meatballs. My dad would say Vincents on route 66, has the best, and they would get my vote as well. There is a vinces in Temeccula too. Not too far from you if you ever have the urge to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI will have to try Vince's in Temecula for some good pasta. I love pasta. Or maybe I will have to drive down and take Grandpa for some pasta. Then he can have a new story about how Catherine sucks in her spaghetti.
ReplyDeleteCool we have a story about how you would take off your glasses to eat spagetti because when you sucked them in it always got spots on your glasses.....
ReplyDeleteMom
I still suck up my spaghetti. I still get sauce on my glasses and it's still funny. Catherine does it just the same, but no glasses.
