Reading
Last night, I went out to the Barnes and Noble. I love going there. They are open late so I can go when the kids are in bed and it will not be as crowded. They have a Starbucks in there. I can go in with my headphones on, browse, and maybe have some tea or hot chocolate. My sister got me a gift card for there for Christmas. I used it last night. I got the January choice for my book club. It is called Happiness Sold Separately by Lolly Winston. I do not like it much so far. It is taking me a lot to read it. I think the subject matter may be something I did not realize I was not ready to read about yet. I also got The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini and Water For Elephants by Sara Gruen. Both of those are on my 2008 TBR List. I cannot start reading either of them until January 1. That is okay though. At the rate I am reading my book club choice, I will not need to read anything else before that. In addition, if I do, I have three new books on my shelf I have not got to yet that are not on my list.

I haven't gotten the book yet. Your initial impressions aren't reassuring, lol. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
ReplyDeleteoh you'll be fine. The story isn't bad, and you didn't have a philandering husband like the woman in the book. You probably won't want to punch things. I should have voted for that murder mystery one. I didn't realise I'd react that way.
ReplyDeleteI like Barnes and Noble too, I like to wander about and look in all the different departments. When I was taking a childrens lit class I spent hours there checking out all the childrens books. There are so many cool books for kids. I was introduced to Walter the Farting Dog, and Skippy Jon Jones.
