Christmas Treats

We are doing some more of our baking tonight. Catherine ate the gingersnaps we had baked to take with us this weekend. She also ate all the sugar cookies. We are baking different ones today. Then we can hide them, perhaps we need a safe. Tomorrow we are baking our final two Christmas treats before our trip. We leave on Saturday morning for our Christmas adventure. I am bringing our rose tea set so we can have some tea with all of our Christmas cookies and cakes.

Speaking of Christmas treats, my Aunt and Uncle sent us a box of goodies today. There were jingle bell socks for the girls, Wizard of Oz Christmas ornaments, and a cute kitty ornament. There was homemade peppermint bark and homemade jerky. They are both very tasty, but you should not eat both one right after another.

David is watching A Christmas Story. Carolynn is hovering around the kitchen hoping to sneak some cookie dough. Catherine is cleaning the bathroom. She is still on punishment.

The 12 Days Of Christmas
On the seventh day of Christmas my true love gave to me
Seven Swans A-Swimming, Six Geese A-Laying
Five Golden Rings
Four Calling Birds, Three French Hens, Two Turtle Doves, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.

  1. Well sugar cookies are good, you can not eat just one. Tea goes good with sugar cookies or snowball cookies, or gumdrop cake. we are all ready for you guys to get here.
It has been kind of cold and windy today so dress warm. We will have plenty of food, Spaghetti and meatballs and garlic bread and all your baked treats, I am getting so hungry just thinking about it.

  2. Well we are all ready to go. The kids are so excited. We can have tea and cake and play cards and have a super fun adventure for Christmas. That will be the best present.

  3. Yep that is the best present. We are going to have a ton of meatballs so we can make meatball sandwiches for snacking and card playing. We do have quite a few gifts for opening as well.
Looks like you guys have gotten to try lots of Christmas treats, you can never have to many Christmas treats.

  5. Well that is part of the holidays, lots of great treats. It sure is not the time to be on a diet that's for sure.
