Thirteen Things I Love About Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday. People are as festive and joyous (usually) as they are at Christmas, but there is less pressure. I do not have to worry about presents, just tasty food. Therefore, here are my thirteen things I love about Thanksgiving.
1. Turkey
2. Homemade Mashed Potatoes (I put sour cream in mine.)
3. Green Bean Casserole
4. The Sound The Cranberry Sauce Makes When It Comes Out Of The Can
5. Cranberry Sauce
6. Pumpkin Pie
7. Fresh Baked Rolls
8. Sparkling Juices In Wine Bottles
9. Stuffing/Dressing (Whatever you want to call it, just do not put nuts or oysters in it.)
10. Four Day Weekend (Usually, we will see how it goes for this Thanksgiving)
11. Apple Pie
12. Pumpkin Ice Cream
13. Cooking… I actually love to cook a nice big dinner
Yum. Oh, hey, I forgot. I need to make a shopping list.

Hi, cool list! I love thanksgiving too! Actually, I really like this whole season! I did a TT too, it's at: http://lifes-adventures.net
ReplyDeleteAlice- I got my list going already and I actually got a few things already.
ReplyDeleteMarina- What do Costa Ricans eat for Thanksgiving?
Nina- Pumpkin Ice Cream is soo good. I think Dryers makes it or Edy's depending on where you live.
Noelle- Fall is my favorite season too.
lol! The sound that cranberry sauce makes. haha.
ReplyDeleteI love the sparkling juices too. My inlaws always have it on Christmas and then I'm hooked on some type of grape juice for an entire month afterwards...every year.
Pam- We have sparking apple-grape and sparkling cranberry. That is what I have so far. 2 bottles won't go very far. My kids love that stuff.
ReplyDeleteEven though we're not celebrating thanksgiving over here in Sweden, you got me sooo hungry now. Luckily hubby just served me a delicious sandwich in this right moment! 'giggles*
ReplyDeleteI'm not doing a Thanksgiving dinner this year. I'm really gonna miss it. But Daughter and I are going to spend the holiday with my sis and her family. Someone else will be doing the cooking.
ReplyDeleteLifecruiser- Just because you don't share our holiday doesn't mean you can fix the same dinner some night! Sometimes I get a hunger for Thanksgiving dinner in July so I make it.
ReplyDeleteEve- Family is one of the main components of Thanksgiving.
sour cream in the mashed taters is the bomb!! yummo! happy tt!
ReplyDeleteJaydee- It's like a baked potato with less work.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I love the sound of the cranberry sauce when it comes out of the can. Is that weird, or what? And I call it dressing. I agree, no nuts or oysters. No apples or fruit in it, either. thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteForgetful- It's not weird! Ewww... no apples or other fruits either. They should stay out of the stuffing. I put celery and onion in mine.
ReplyDeleteNuts and oysters?

ReplyDeleteI feel the same way about Thanksgiving. I love it! I actually love to shove the men (and kids) out of the kitchen and cook all day. What a sense of accomplishment. :) Yum!
